Title: Location "on the spot" pour débutant à Montréal

Salut,

Merci,

Max

Oka has a windsurfing rental, the gear is only for beginners as far as i know, but its something i guess! as far as the other spots, getting yourself some used gear is the best way to go about it, cheaper in the long run and far more convenient

Hey wind,

Thanks for the cue. Windsurfing location is advertised on their website (Oka). However, I called and I was told that they have no equipment. I guest its collecting dust in a hangar somewhere... I found that École de Voile de Lachine has some starboard equipment, 30$ for three hours, not so much expansive. However, I'm not sure that the spot is nice. and well exposed to west winds.

Agree with you, buying your own stuff is more convenient and cheaper in the long run. However, its hard to convince someone who just want to try for fun that he has to buy a roof rack, buy for 500$ of gears and find a lot of place in his appartment to store it (if ever he can manage to get a 180L board up to the second floor of his building).

Anyway, that's a well-know problem... Still hard to believe that there is only one place to rent windsurf gear on the spot in city as big as montreal.
