Did not wake up early enough to head to St Zotique. I guess the cold, power and direction of the wind made me feel comfortable sleeping in ;-) The wind for Dorval was due North and Cartier was showing due east all day. Very weird!!! :blink:

I drove to Cartier to meet JF and verify this phenomenon. Blowing due East over there with lots of liquid smoke and mini tornados wiping across the lake. Wind from 20 to 55 miles an hour so that's 35 mile an hour variances. Had to assume it was turning offshore as you got away from the shoreline too. Squeek Squeek.. another no go. :unsure:

Jack, Rob and myself watched for almost an hour from my windows in Dorval hoping it would be a little more east, but it was due North with some east squalls and mutual agreement said it was to risky and probably not worth it :no:

Rob finally made it to a spot just east of Chategauy river which he insisted was very doable but I did not venture over to meet him as having a kiter for a wind ami today did not seem reasonable to me. I assumed it could only end in me rescuing him lol Sorry Rob. :content:

Vaudreuil is still frozen so that’s out :sad2:

Has anyone ever sailed at La Grand Anse on Ile Perrot? Seems like it could be great for North East?
